Do improved transcripts (or any for that matter) get saved to a cloud database?
No. All local.
Is any of my clipboard history stored or sent through your cloud database?
No. All local. Auto-improve is the only system where what's been transcribed or copied in a context stacking session will have been exposed to a model. But these are not stored by Field Theory either.
Are drawings stored in a cloud database?
No. All local.
Can I auto-delete my clipboard history after a while?
Yes. In settings.
Is local voice transcription actually local?
Yes.
What languages does Field Theory support for transcription?
English-only (atm).
Are verbal commands actually local?
Yes.
Is auto-improve available in Hot Mic mode?
No. Auto-improve is not available in Hot Mic mode.
What does Hot Mic require?
Apple Silicon (M1 or later), Qwen selected as the transcription engine, and the open-source Qwen model installed (runs fully offline).
Can I customize or reset Hot Mic voice commands?
Yes. Use Settings -> Hot Mic to edit phrase groups. If needed, click Reset Voice Defaults.
